Tarte Tan Sand (42S) is described by the brand as 'Tan skin with yellow undertones.' It is a shade in the Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer range, which is a liquid concealer with a natural finish and full coverage that retails for 24.00 and contains 0.33 oz. ![]() Overall, I am happy that I have all three shades. I spot conceal and conceal my undereyes, but blend the concealer out all over my face. Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer. It is a shade in the Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape. I regularly use this concealer all over my face instead of putting on foundation. Tarte Light-Medium Sand (27S) is described by the brand as Light to medium skin with yellow undertones. Light is VERY pink on me, while the other two seem to match my skin tone a little better. (Above Photo Swatches) L-R: Light, Light Sand, Light NeutralĪs you can see from my wrist in the swatch photo above, I have mostly green veins with a few purple veins, so I tend to look best in warm or neutral shades. Light Sand is yellow based, while I would say Light Neutral is sort of beigy - and is significantly darker than the other two light shades - which is good since I can use this shade to cover blemishes and use the others for my under eyes and highlighting. I jumped on the opportunity and bought both of the new light shades - Light Sand and Light Neutral. You can now choose from 14 different options, including Fair Beige (a pink-toned beige), Light Sand (a fawn with yellow undertones), Light Medium Honey (a yellow-y tan), and Rich (a deep caramel). So as you can imagine, When Tarte restocked the new shades of Shape Tape this month I was excited. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am neutral to warm - so the pink undertone of the light shade was not my favorite, and definitely not my best match. I had originally picked up the Light shade - which is formulated for cooler skin tones. The other con I had was recently resolved when they came out with more shades. The good news is the smell wears off quickly so it does not linger for long. It’s a very floral scent - I know a lot of people like the smell but it is just a little stronger than what I prefer. ![]() The one con I have for this concealer is the smell. I’d say it is definitely worth the $24 price tag. Tarte Light-Medium Sand (27S) is described by the brand as 'Light to medium skin with yellow undertones.' It is a shade in the Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer range, which is a liquid concealer with a natural finish and full coverage that retails for 24.00 and contains 0.33 oz. Plus, this concealer has WAYYYY more product in the tube than other concealer, and for a lesser price. My favorite part of this concealer is the applicator - it has a giant doe foot applicator (similar to the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation applicator). It is a liquid concealer that performs like a cream - it is full coverage like a cream concealer but blendable like a liquid. I picked up the shade Light when Shape Tape first launched back in September… and I have to say it is definitely worth the hype. According to Tarte, Fair is fair with yellow undertones while Porcelain beige is very fair with pink undertones. If you are here you probably already know that the *hottest* concealer on the market at the moment is Tarte’s Shape Tape. ![]()
